A Very Merry Christmas

This Christmas was a Merry one indeed.
Dev and I were surrounded by loved ones all throughout the much needed break.
From Christmas parties, to the anticipation of the big day, Christmas was very generous this year.
Being our first Christmas together, it was quite the adjustment to spend Christmas day with 3 different families. Our Christmas went a little something like this:

We spent Christmas Eve at our cousins house, the Nielsons, where we enjoyed a yummy dinner and exchanged gifts.
You all probably know that that is my sis Sam, and my little brother Jake, but Ita is our sweet grandma that has been in and out of the hospital lately :( We love her so much and were so happy she was able to be home for the holidays!

After dinner we headed to my parents house to open our Christmas Pj's. It is a fun tradition we have had for many years now... as do all of you I'm sure.

(Please excuse the horrid lighting and awkward poses...)

We then all piled into Sam's room (my old room) and fell fast asleep as we watched Christmas movies.
We had to convince sweet Jake that 8 was early enough to get up for gifts...
If the kid had it his way, he'd be up at 4 in the morning.

Dev and I later went back to our place to exchange gifts and freshen up for the day.
I'm not one to talk about gifts, but what the hubs gave me is just too good not to share.

A Nikon 1 J1!!! I couldn't contain myself I was so excited. I've really wanted a nice camera so I wouldn't have to revert to the iPhone photos you've all had to suffer through. I need good quality pictures! Now there is no excuse for me to take crappy pictures anymore! I just need to get used to taking this little bugger with me everywhere I go!

Here's a picture of my mother-in-laws amazing tree. (first pic taken with my camera... wahoo!)
We enjoyed a yummy brunch and opened gifts, followed by a nap.

Our last stop of the day was Devin's dads house. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures, but we had fun! His family is so huge and close, they do everything together.
It was the perfect way to end our night.

And lastly... I'll leave you all with a picture of Max (or maxwell, or fowler, or max-a-moo). Whatever you want to call him. He is defiantly one of a kind, we have a love/hate relationship.

But isn't he just so darn cute?!!

xo!
